ABOUT US
Who we are:
We are, Anna and Mary, Christ-loving sisters raised in a lively family of six children! Our home was never quiet—always filled with laughter, love, and joyful chaos. With many siblings, some of whom are now married, our family continues to grow with new little ones. We have a deep passion of caring for babies, attending births, and offering support to families in the postpartum months. In today’s world, the sense of community and support we once had, seems to be fading, but we are committed to reviving it. Over the past 10 years, we’ve had the privilege of serving families in various ways, and it’s our heartfelt desire to build relationships with yours and be a meaningful blessing to you.
Why Neshama birth?
In the Bible, the soul is described as God’s own breath which animates us. Neshama is the Hebrew word that describes this connection of the Creator to His creation. It is such a beautiful picture of when a soul is formed in the womb with this “spark of Godliness.” It reminds us that life is a sacred gift from God and every single soul is the expression of God’s intent and vision in creating that human being. Here at Neshama Birth, our desire is to serve those that are given this privilege in carrying a living soul and being a part of the sacred event of bringing life into this earth. We don’t just support you during your birth, but in the transition time after a family has been given a new child. Postpartum support is just as important as birth support as you bond with your littlest one and heal during a beautiful, vulnerable time. We provide caring, personal support to make this transition a blessing for you and your family.
What does Neshama mean?
“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the (neshama) breath of life; and man became a living soul.” Genesis 2:7

Name of Hebrew origin
Meaning: “breath” or “soul” of life. We were fearfully and wonderfully created by our Father in Heaven for a divine purpose.
